Only You will never change

Hebrews 1:11-12 “They (the heavens and earth) will perish, but you remain; they will all wear out like a garment. You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed. But you remain the same, and your years will never end.”

"They will perish." "They will be changed." It shows that the heavens and earth that people think will last forever are short in God's eyes, and they will be destroyed. With the Creator, everything is possible. The Bible describes the day when the heavens and the earth are destroyed, the day when the Lord returns. 2 Peter 3:12 “That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat." The elements refer to the earth.

Before the Lord Christ returns, there will be two changes in the heavens and the earth. One change is "gradually getting old like clothes." Clothes always change from new to old, gradually wearing out and losing its color little by little. God uses the facts that men can see with their eyes to illustrate that heaven and earth are gradually changing. The second change is that the world will change suddenly. "You will roll them up like a robe; like a garment they will be changed." (Heb. 1:12) Whether it is a gradual change or sudden change, the Bible reveals to us the fact that no eye has seen, no human mind has conceived. This is the special blessing from the Lord who loves us, who called us to be children of God, to recognize the law of change so that we can prepare for change.

The world will change, but “You remain the same.” "But you remain the same, and your years will never end.” This is a truth, and those who believe in the truth can live in faith. The life of faith is convinced that God will always exist and never change, and the Lord Christ will always exist and never change. The living faith allows people to live out the testimony of faith, to trust and obey, to honor God and bless others.
