New Year’s Resolutions

I’ve spoken with many people who are determined to lose weight and become more healthy with their diets this New Year. Many have gone on the “intermittent diet” plan and have since lost 10-20 pounds. The same is true for those who want a healthy mind; you must reduce your intake of junk food and increase your intake of healthy foods.

Matt. 4:4 (NLT)

People do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.

If you want a healthy mind, you must feed your mind with truth. We all know the importance of good nutrition. Healthy food makes us stronger and give us more energy. Junk food harms our bodies. Too often we forget about our mind and feed it junk or poison. Jesus said we should feed our minds on God’s Word.

There is an old saying that’s very true, “Garbage in, garbage out.” Good food results in a healthier body. Junk food results in poor health. Our minds operate the same. Good information helps us make good decisions, and bad information causes us to make bad decisions. For Christians to live their best life this year, we need good information that’s found in the Word of God. Begin each day this year by feeding your mind on God’s Word.
