Christmas

Matt 1:22-23

22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet:

23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us”).

Dear brothers and sisters, what are you planning to do this Christmas season?

· Are you working on your shopping list?

· Any 2022 New Year’s resolutions?

· Honestly do a self-evaluation?

· Find a new job?

· Lose weight?

· Spend more time with your family?

· Systematic study of His Word?

· Learn a new skill?

· Attend prayer meetings and Sunday school?

· Be more proactive in serving?

· Setting new goals for the New Year?

Let us not forget to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ this Christmas. He came to fulfill many prophecies. He is the Messiah. He is the Son of God. He takes away our sin. The Scripture said, “they will call him Immanuel.” Immanuel means God with us. God comes to our life so that we can know Him.

Let us

1. Meditate on His love for us to send Christ to the earth and die on the cross for our sin

2. Set a Bible reading goal to be in His Word more in 2022

3. Plan to make time for serving in a ministry

4. Care for one another
