Pastor Benguang Du was born in Yantai, Shandong province, China. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior in the family church. God led him to be trained after his calling. He graduated from Gardener-Webb University with BA in religious studies and from Campbell University Divinity School with M.Div. in pastoral studies in North Carolina. He was ordained as a gospel minister in April 2001.
In 2001, he was called by the Southern Baptist Convention of North Carolina and sent to the Chapel Hill area as a church planter. He started the Chapel Hill Chinese Christian Church North Carolina in May of the year 2002. He had been the pastor for that church until Feb. 2014. He began to serve the Frisco Community Bible Church TX in March 2014.
He married his wife in 1981. They have a daughter who is married and lives in North Carolina.
