Every Member is a Minister 人人服事
For this year our Senior Pastor, Pastor Jireh, wants to see every member of our church to use their God-given gifts to serve God and others. Every believer has a gift that God has entrusted to them so that they can use it to further God’s Kingdom.
1 Peter 4:10
Just as each one has received a gift, use it to serve one another as good stewards of the varied grace of God.
God has entrusted every believer with a gift. When someone entrusts something to us, they expect us to do something with it. If we do not use our gifts, we are not being faithful stewards of what God has entrusted to us. We cannot just attend church on Sundays but not do anything else for God’s Kingdom for the rest of the week. We must use our gifts daily to expand God’s Kingdom.
We all have different gifts. Romans 12:6-8 And we have different gifts according to the grace given to us. If the gift is prophecy, that individual must use it in proportion to his faith. If it is service, he must serve; if it is teaching, he must teach; if it is exhortation, he must exhort; if it is contributing, he must do so with sincerity; if it is leadership, he must do so with diligence; if it is showing mercy, he must do so with cheerfulness.
Our gifts are to be used to accomplish the Great Commission. No matter what our gifts are, we are commanded to use them to accomplish the Great Commission. The Great Commission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ in all the nations. We must actively participate in this not only on Sundays but every day of our lives.
