2008 Theme: AN
ALL-CONSUMING PASSION FOR WORSHIP
The sole purpose of man and the church can be summed up in this phrase: to glorify God.
Therefore the goal of the ministry at Frisco Community Bible Church is to fulfill that purpose
by having a body of believers that is growing spiritually in their faith in Jesus Christ both
individually and as a church community.
A prescription to accomplish this feat is found in the saying of Christ, called the
Great Commission in Matthew 28:16-20. From this passage, there are five discernible areas
in which we can accomplish our purpose.
These five areas can be communicated by the simple acrostic: DFW & ME
-
Discipleship, teaching of scripture which results in a transformed life.
-
Fellowship, building a caring, accountable, encouraging, and loving
community.
-
Worship, giving God the proper honor, glory, and love that he deserves
both individually and as a church family.
-
Ministry, to meet the needs of people both in the church and community.
-
Evangelism, spreading the gospel to the lost wherever they are.
Through these five discernible areas, we strive to have a healthy and growing
church body that will ultimately glorify the God who created and saved us.
Frisco Community Bible Church is a
non-denominational, independent church. All are
welcome to worship God and fellowship with us in
Christ!
